Fist off Dad don't worry I am playing plenty of basketball down here and draining it like Kobe. Yea our mission president said that we can't play soccer down here so when I get back I will play better basketball then soccer (ainda bem). Wow this week has been incredible! We had a baptism this week and everything turned out great, we had a great turn out and two investigators came and watched. It was great and I see that my português is improving a lot lately and my English is getting worse! Neusa the investigator that watch the baptism of Adam came with her boy friend and we showed them around the church and while Elder Vianna was getting ready to baptize I taught them about our church all by myself and I answered all his questions and everything. They really liked it and it was good for Neusa who usually has a big problem with drinking on the weekends.
After the baptism we went home and put all of Elder Viannas clothes away and I looked at my watch and it said 8:20 and Elder Vianna said "where do you want to go right now" and I said without hesitation "Gabriel" who was a kid I baptized and reactivated his mom in the church. So we showed up there and Nivani (the mom) answered the door and said that she has been praying and waiting for us to show up. It turns out that she needed a blessing that minute and she is going through some really tuff times with her baby that might not survive much longer in her belly. We shared a really good message with them and Leví (an investigator who lives with them) really felt that we were inspired to visit them that minute. My testimony really strengthen that night and verified that I am being guided by the Holy Ghost. Also this Sunday we had 15 visitors in the church! Almost as good as 20 that we had last Sunday ha-ha. But the miracle this Sunday came because of a sign we put out in the front of our church. We put up a big sign that invited everyone to our sacrament meeting and gave the hora when church started. Everyone though that the sign was a stupid Idea, but 3 people came to church because of it and we taught them that night and oh my gosh they are GOLDEN! They already had 2 book of Mormons and they were already reading a bit of it and the mom visited the Church website and everything and knew a little of Joseph Smith ha-ha it was awesome! They are marked for the second Saturday of next month.
Hey give a hug to Morgan for me and tell him I will see him in 2013 for sure ha-ha. So Zach got his mission call to Recife né Brazil, ha-ha awesome I can speak poertuguês with my cousin when we get home ha-ha. SO on the 16th I will have 7 month on the mission, wow how the time fly's by! It feels like yesterday that I was getting trained (probably because I am still in my first area with the same companion for so much time ha-ha). Hopefully if everything turns out right I can train scotty when he gets down here (if he gets his visa). We don't have a baptism this week unfortunately, but have at least one the next week! Things are going great down here in Riviera "Sião" Paulista! Please keep up the good work in your area and remember that every member is a missionary, and never feel ashamed to spread the good word to your neighbors (who you think won't accept it, but in fact need it more then ever).
Até proximo
