So yesterday we just found out that elder Nunes is leaving to his new area. Its too bad because I am still in training and everything and I still don´t know what buses to take or were people live and stuff like that, but it will be a new adventure with my new companion figuring out my area. This week was incredible because we accomplished all of our metas this week . Next week I am baptizing a kid names Gabriel who is 9 years old. His father is not a member (yet), but his mother and brother are.
So my companion will be transferred tomorrow at 10 at the stake center which is 3 buses away, but we have a member named Bryce who will drive us (he looks exactly like Mario). The language is still coming very slowly unfortunately and the member don´t really understand that I don´t talk to them very much because I don´t understand what they are saying. It is really hard to build relationships with people when you can´t communicate with them and they don´t understand were you are coming from. So for P-day today we are eating at a members house then going to church to play some uno and play futbal ( soccer). My companion gave me a cool jersey to were when I play futbul and then we traded ties which is really cool looking. All is well down here is brazil except it is getting a little colder haha. I am glad mom that you packed me some warm clothes. My spider man watch was broken for a bit, but then it came back to life and is keeping time just fine.
OHH did you guys get the Conference talks Liahona yet there is a picture of Elder Cooney at a baptism. ( My cousin who is on a mission in South Africa) I was so shocked when I saw it because you read through and see people you have never seen before and when you finally recognize a person you hesitate for a bit then it hits you, nossa! I know him!. How many more months does he have left? I have such a long time left I think once I can communicate better with people I will have a much better time and go by much quicker. Don´t get me wrong I am having a good time down here, its a lot of work for sure, but I just want to see the change in a person from start to finish and see how the gospel helps peoples lives. Right now we have about 5 people ready for baptism, but all of them keep changing their minds and thinking they are not ready yet.
Ahh my computer is about to die or something it is making funny noises and the screen is going crazy so I will send this so far and try again later
Love you Elder Crandall
(Just a note from Brendin’s mom. Just to let you all know Brendins birthday is on the 19th of June. If you wanted to send him a birthday card or letter it takes about 14 to 18 days before he will get it. So if you mailed it by June 4 or 5th that should be good. Late birthday notes are always good also so don’t feel bad if you waited to the last minute.)
A few pictures that he sent me. They are pictures from the CTM training center in Brazil when he was there.
