HAHA the difference between a rat and a mouse according to the Brazilians is NONE! There fore it doesn't´t matter whether a rat goes inside or a mouse goes outside they are indeed the same haha. (inside joke from scary movie 3). Grandpa Joe Happy Birthday também! You and Brian have been a big influence in my life and have help shape me in who I am today.
Mom thank you so much for the package I really love the Tie! One elder was judging all the ties as Elders were leaving our conference with our new president and he said out of all the Elders I had the most beautiful! Please send more peanut butter!!!! And if you can send those blue things that the dentist gives me to floss underneath my bar in my mouth thanks! ( side note from the mom any dentist out there that want to write Brendin and send him some blue things? )
I love My new President!!! Holy cow we had the coolest meeting by far last week! He showed 4 films all pertaining to the gospel and how to improve as missionaries. The first was Indiana Jones when he took the leap of faith and the second was a montage of Michel Jordan when he is dominating the court and at the end he said A gift is not an excuse to not work hard just as a famous musician or a athlete you have to put in the hard work and practice. Then he showed a church clip that's related the Holy Ghost to a radio signal and it was really cool, then the last film talked about patience. Like a type of bamboo tree it takes years until it shoot to the sky. At first it may appear that nothing is happening, but little by little you are preparing to shoot to the sky! I love my president very much and I hope I get to know him more and more.
Well I didn't get a call from the assistants so that means I am staying in my area for one more transfer! I love my area and I am learning to work well with my companion. Although some times we have difficulties one with another, but I guess that is normal. One more transfer in Riviera "Sião" Paulista! (Zion). Hey one quick question do you have pizza in the States that has chocolate in the crust? We have them here in Brazil and they are soooo good! Sandra once again thank you for the letter I will try to figure out how correios works down here so I can write you a letter. My favorite food down here so far is stroganofe com batata fritas! Pretty much rice with chicken and really good sauce with tinny French fries on top haha.
Our baptism with Carol fell through this week she is just not ready yet. But we did manage to accidentally meet her brother Francisco and his wife and two kids last night. We shared with them a pamphlet of the restoration of the gospel and marked an appointment to explain more. They seem really interested in our message so maybe they will be able to help Carol out in the future. Things started out really slow when Elder Vianna came here, but I have a feeling things are going to be allot better now and especially the leaders of our ward down here. Pretty much they have been slacking off allot lately and I hear there is going to be a lot of changing that is going to happen. For 2 weeks now I have been worried about a couple in our ward who haven't been going to church or anything. They both have callings in the church and its strange when people like that don't show up. But yesterday I just found out that they moved and told no one about it haha.
Its good to hear Brian had a good birthday and the 4th of July was good and Dad didn't get injured haha. Who is in the kitchen with Dina? (another inside joke with dads song that he sings every year on the 4th of July). That's the next question I want to figure out haha.
And A quick note for Jared Tryon. I heard you talked about me in church and I am glad I was able to be an example for you and I will continue to be strong and show you the way:) but the one person you should follow is the Savior who gave the perfect example for the whole world. If you have time look in PMG 6 Christ Like Attributes. Since I am not in the ward right now it is up to you and Devin to be the example to those who need help. Fique forte stay strong!
