Yea we are so addicted to that book of Mormon game that mom sent. We killed some time playing that today haha. Wow Dad, Devin and Dustin are so lucky! I would kill to get some snow in this HOT Cente weather! Please send some photos I want to see snow again haha. Ella is growing up super fast and I can't wait to teach her Portuguese and play with her. I was super happy to get an email from my whole family this week so that means this week is going to be awesome because it is starting off so great!
My companion is a lot better this week after drinking this awful salt and potassium water that got him better. This week will be really crazy because we will be out of our area for 2 days, we have two meetings on Wednesday and Thursday because a seventy will come and talk and we have a treinamento para new elders. But this Sunday will be Ward Conference and so we got the whole ward involved and we are going to split up with the members and pass out invites and teach people and get people to church. Its going to be a lot of fun, just hope it doesn't rain. This month is suppose to be the worst month because it has so much rain, lately we have been blessed because we had these huge storm clouds came in and the eye of the storm stayed around our area and we didn't get one drop of rain haha. Also we are almost complete with our 40 days of Fast that we are doing in our area. I will fast the last day this Sunday, I did this activity in my first area and we had a lot of success so I am hopping we will have the same results.
This week was kind of funny because we marked to go to someone's house and when we got there his brother was there to greet us and so he let us in and I felt that we shouldn't teach him, but mark another day when his brother is home. I thought that was kind of strange. The next day we showed up to his house and he was outside playing really dirty Funk music and I felt a little discouraged to go and talk to him, but we got our courage up and talked to him. He stopped his music and let us in with no problem and not only his brother was at home, but 4 other people all men. So we gave a really great lesson and they all said that we can come back and they really like us and we got some references as well. So now I know why we had to mark for the next day.
My companion is starting to talk a little more português, he was a little shell shocked at first which is normal, but now he is getting out and talking with more people. He has a very energetic personality and is crazy like me which is great because our whole area is full of great crazy people so we fit in just fine. And our recent convert Sandoval blessed the sacrament for the second time now and is about to get his calling in the Elders Quorum so that is going to be great to see one of our converts being super active in the church. The other day he bought us pizza so he is a great friend and I know he is going to be a great help in God's kingdom. I hope one day I am able to return to Brazil and see all my new friends and keep up my português. Next month is our Temple trip so I am definitely ready to go back to the beautiful temple of São Paulo. When I get home I will definitely go to the temple because it is super close and I love the spirit that I feel when I am there.
Well my time is up and finally had some time to write a nice long email to you guys so I hope you like it and I love the emails that I get in return! Send a big hug to everyone in the ward and especially to Spencer and make sure he doesn't forget Português when I get back.
