Hey why doesn't it snow here too? I liked the pictures that you sent, give a hug to uncle Jeff for me, but be careful of his shoulder haha. Yea we better do something cool like that when I get back too! Wow Ella is getting super big now, she will probably be talking by the time I get back, just in time to teach here some portugues.
Mom or Dad please give a hug to the Cavalcantis for me, I got a letter from them this week and they sent me a picture of the snow in front of their house which I liked because it is super hot down here and we are needing some cooling down. Tell Sandra sorry, but I am already um Corintiano and I don't know if there is any turning back haha. (Eles são bons e não todos corintianos são ladrões, mas todos ladrões são corintianos rsrs).
So this week has been another hard, but very inspiring week. We had the privilege to hear a 70 on Wednesday and he gave a great talk and treinamento! He called the Leaders de Distrito before the actual conference because he had a few things he want to talk to us about. It was great because he split up the mission and so we had a lot more participation. He asked us a lot of questions to get a feel for were we are as a mission and so the two meeting were completely inspired.
I fasted again to finish up our 40 days of Fast that we did as a ward. I have faith that we will baptize some one still so that means I have to get out and work my butt off because faith without works is dead, and always having hope or always being excited and looking forward and thanking the lord for the preparations that he is doing for that one person who will be baptized.
So just to give an update on my companion, his portugues is getting a lot better and he is making more contacts with people, but is still struggling to understand other people. For example the other day he said that he want to buy a pizza and I said that would be alright and I asked him what kind of pizza. He answered and said that he wants a chocolate pizza with bacon on top...I then told him "Elder você está bem?" (are you alright?) then he told me that it sounds super good, which I replied that he was crazy and said if he want it he would have to call in this time and order it. So I gave him the phone and the number and he called in. When he tried to say what he wanted there was a long pause in the call and a chuckle and then they asked if he wanted a pizza and a cake. SO my companion stayed strong in what he wanted and said that he wants a chocolate bacon pizza and after a few responses that my companion didn't really understand he ordered the pizza. After 20 minutes the pizza man on his motorcycle honked his horn for us to come out. So we went out and got the pizza and brought it in. When it was about to be revealed my companion said that he can't believe that he is going to have the pizza of his dreams. When he opened it up he saw that half the pizza was crappy chocolate with
the other half bacon with cheese haha. I wish I would have taken a picture of his face haha. So my companion didn't really understand the word "metade" which means "half" haha. I couldn't imagine how the people at the pizza place thought and planned out what this crazy foreigner wanted on his pizza haha. Also the other day I went on a division with the elders in my district and after every division I buy pizza so this time I bought my pizza with chocolate in the crust like usual because it is SUPER good. But to my dismay we ate the pizza and got to the crust and found out that they put chocolate pudding in the crust which is SUPER nasty! But besides that it was a fairly fun and hard week. Love you all so very much and I hope that you are feeling the same love that I am receiving from this beautiful people.
