Wow sounds like everyone has has a fun week, ha-ha me too! Wow almost everyday someone has made cake or dessert for us and just the other day we made a contact with a lady and at the end she told us to follow her and it turns out she owns a store and gave us the best tasting candy ever! Em fim it was a really great week. We are training our members how to make door contacts because 15 couples will go out for 3 hours and knock doors and get references for us to teach! Ahh I am loving the sound of this less walking and more teaching in the next 2 weeks ha-ha. The members in our ward are pulling a 180! The bishopric completely changed for the better and we established 20 baptisms by December and the best part is the members are actually doing what they planned! Things are looking up here is Riviera Zion Paulista.
This week also I meet the biggest snakeyy on my mission. She basically asked if I could marry here some time soon. She was happy that I could talk portugues to here and she told me that she has already had 2 American boyfriends. She asked me when I would be able to marry and I told here not until I finish my mission and she asked when and I sais 2013 and she became a little unexcited, but still invited us to drink coffee with her ha-ha so we gave here a pamphlet and invited her to Church, but she didn't come ha-ha now I have to walk a little faster in front of that house just in case the snake slithers out of her cave.
I am a little worried about one of our investigators. Jessica who has a mother that is super inactive is restricting her to go to activates and almost church. She thinks it is too dangerous and to long for her to leave the house. Jessica is basically like Cinderella stuck in the castle and its up to me and Elder Vianna to free her! We are going to basically lay it all out! Tell the mom that if she doesn't let her daughter go to the True church of Jesus Christ she will begin to look in other places for truths of the Gospel and she will loose the blessing that a young girl like Jessica needs to be protected from the dangers of the world. I am not worry about the baptism, but the fact that she will loose many blessing that she could be enjoying now rather then later or may never enjoy it and fall to the sins and pleasures of the world. Unfortunately the world around us is worsening and the craftiness of Satan is getting better and better and things that look pleasing in the eyes of man is only a trap of misery and pain in the future. I am literally feeling like I am saving lives here, as the hymn in our church talks about sailors lost at sea. That the light of the light house is beaming across the waves of life to those who have the courage to look and that the rescuers are sent out to those who have been tossed and turned and are at the pit of despair and just about to give up. The light of Christ or the Gospel and the missionaries are always there to rescue. I am trying to study the sacrifice of Jesus Christ more in my daily study, but I still don't quite comprehend the significance of his sacrifice. Some how in some way if we only exercise our faith in him and repent and be born again of water and of the spirit we can be saved not only in this life, but in the next. The powers of death cannot quench our souls and that we as a family sealed together can in fact be sealed here on earth and in the heavens. If the fact of eternal life and everlasting happiness doesn't change your attitude and goals of life here on earth then I suggest you study more of the Atoning Sacrifice Of Jesus Christ and re evaluate your day to day life. Will my decision today effect my day tomorrow or will it effect my life on a greater scale? An Eternal Scale? I love my family very much and I challenge you to take my challenge to heart and study the Atonement with a pray full and sincere heart. I have no Idea why I wrote what I wrote, but I hope that it will help some who is in need. If any of you need help in any way feel free to write me. I love all of you so very much and am glade that everyone enjoyed C- bar this week and that Dad will join the PGA when I get back and get his green jacket ha-ha go get’em shooter!
