I didn't tell you were I was going last email because I didn't even know were I was going ha-ha all I was told was to get my bags ready and that I was going to be a district leader in another area. Oh and guess what my new companion is from my group at the MTC Elder Woodward from Spokane, Washington! Its really interesting to see two elders from the same group with me who have only had Brazilian companions and the other who only had one and to hear the difference of the two ha-ha. The other day I convinced someone that I was Brazilian ha-ha I said I was from the Baia which in Brazil and has one of the highest majority of Blacks so its pretty hard to convince some one that you are from there when you are super white ha-ha. So my new companion is awesome, but has some tweaking to do. Today was an awesome day because we made French toast and he already had syrup all set and I smothered mine with my Peanut butter and was the best French toast ever. (Oh by the way my package did indeed arrive and I have been eating it 24 hrs a day now ha-ha) I will send some pics next week when I take more pictures of the temple this week and our next p-day when we are going to eat more French toast with bacon. (YEA ALL AREICAN FOOD).
My new area has a large percentage of Asian people and the best part is this restaurant that has fried rice and egg rolls and fried chicken and all this really good Chinese food. Its always good to eat something different every other day then just arroz e feijão.
My ward is pretty small only 98 members active and the rest all moved out or are waiting for the other church to re open. So the church in my area is getting reformado (I forgot how to say that in english so help me out here) and the church rented out an office building and threw in some chairs and called it good ha-ha. I will take pictures next time because it is really cool looking. The baptismal font is just a pool that they bought and filled it up with water and called it good. Its in the garage which is under the office building ha-ha. The people in our ward are really cool and there is this one irmã in our ward who takes care of the missionaries lunches and everything. She has been taking care of the missionaries for 24 years now and is the coolest person on the planet. Her story is as touching as that one movie "UP" and she has a great heart and is simpre worried about our stomachs being filled ha-ha. It would be really cool if you could include something from the state in my next package to give to her. She already has peanut butter, ranch, and taco seasoning(which we will be eating tomorrow). She has this big binder with all the names of the elders and sisters that passed through.
SO our area is pretty much made up of people with money and apartment buildings, and our area is really huge and we are opening up this area so we are stating from ground zero right now and only have one investigator until now. Yea! We are going to break a record this week and contact 1002 people in just this week. Yea pretty much anything that moves I am going to go talk to it. We are going to give it our all in hope that the lord will bless us with at least two people for this month that are ready to be baptized, that's why there is 1002 because after we make our 500 each and show the lord that we really want this he will bless us with one elect each. Its going to be the hardes and longest week of my life so please keep us in your prayers and that I will have alot of sucess here in Jardim Bonfiglioli. I am already super tired and just in one week I think I have walk the equivalent of two mountains about now so I am feeling a little weak ha-ha. I am loving it and be excited for next week with all my pictures and news about our contacts. Love all of you so very much and thanks again for the package, estou comendo peanut butter e tirando photos até o pó agora!
