Well after a long haul, with many new members in Riviera Paulista Ward, I have been transferred! Yea I kinda knew that sooner or later I would be heading out of my area. Also I have been called to be a district leader also, Yikes a new area, new companion, and new responsibilities. Yea pray for me ha-ha. I have a lot of work today to pack and say good bye to everyone. I am practically a member of this ward so I know everyone by name and it will be hard to say good bye to everyone and my investigators at the same time.
Conferencia was awesome as always! This was the first time I heard it in a different language. It was really cool because I understood everything that they said. (I think if you can understand 4 sessions straight of nothing but portuguese and you have 5 pages of notes, you are doing pretty good with the language ha-ha). Yea It was strange also because I am used to watching conference in the morning, but because of the time difference it starts at 1 and 5 in the afternoon. Yea the translators did a fantastic job, they are already given the talk ahead of time to translate, but if the speaker starts to improvise they have to translate on the spot. Elder Richard G Scott speaks great portugues still. He did his own translation ahead of time and spoke word for word on his talk. There are 3 other authorities who speak portugues, but I can't remember them right now. We had a lot of our investigators come and watch also and they all like it a lot. Its too bad that I have to leave this area, but at least I will leave this area better then when I found it. I am very happy to serve here and that I got my visa in time (poor Scotty). Also our ward made a plan a long time ago were everyone in our ward would fast for one day, and my day to fast is today after lunch until tomorrow when I arrive in my new area ha-ha que bom ( that’s good).
I am very happy and nervous at the same time, but I know that God always qualifies who he calls and that this time will be the best to learn and to grow better. Love all of you so very much and I am still waiting for my peanut butter ha-ha.
Com Amor
