Dad it sounds like you are still in shape playing that many sports
haha. Yea we haven't been able to play any sports because they cut all
the activities for the missionaries. Yea there were probably too many
accident and they just had to cut it all at once so I am going to come
home in reasonably good shape now. I exercise every day except Sunday
of course so my upper body is in great shape thanks to my pop can
weights that I mad. Thanks for the updates on the mariners, sounds like we
have got a pretty good pitcher, hey is Ichiro still going strong? There is a
member in my ward who loves the New York Yankees, but I think if he
found out about the Mariners he would instantly fall in love haha.
So I didn't get any call yesterday from the mission office so that
means that I will be staying here in Jd. Lucélia one more transfer!
This area is so small that I have already knocked on every single
door, but luckily we got a reference from a girl who got baptized that
her friend recently moved into our area and her friend said she wants
to be baptized now. So we are going to start doing a lot more family
nights to strengthen the ward and get more references form them.
Unfortunately our baptism last week didn't work out because of few good
reasons. she was going through a lot of pain. It was funny because she said
she was drinking coffee because she didn't want to be baptized on that day
because of the pains. Yesterday we passed by and she said she has a lot of
desire to be baptized, but wants to wait until her mom comes so she can be
baptized. I thought, "great! that would be wonderful for your mom to come
watch, when will she show up?" "In July!".....que chato! so I will not see her
baptism, but she will be baptized for sure.
This week is the baptism of Vanessa and she is firm for this Saturday
for sure. We have taught a lot with members so she is pretty well
integrated everyone is pretty excited.
This week we almost didn't havechurch. The chapel building is being
constructed so we are still in alittle school and what happened is someone
tried to go in the school and steal stuff so they cut all the locks. So the school
bought new locks but didn't give us any keys. So when we got there we weren't
able to get in and the worst part is it was raining and as those who
have already served a mission know when it rains no one goes and nothing
works out haha. But luckily my prayers were answered and the Bishop
managed to talk to the principle in time and got an new key. Well its
been a fun transfer with Elder Blackford and I am looking forward to
one more were we are going to baptiszar até o PÓ!!
Tchau
